I'm Susie Bono, founder of Aging Springs and a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®. I help families in Colorado Springs navigate senior living options and find the setting that best fits their loved one's needs, preferences, and priorities.
Why I Started Aging Springs
A personal reason for doing this work.
My interest in senior living started with my own family. As my mom got older, I found myself thinking about what we would do if she eventually needed more support. She passed away unexpectedly before we ever reached that point, but thinking about what we might eventually need to do made me realize how important it is to understand the options before a family is faced with making a decision.
Now, as my in-laws reach a point where we know they may need more support in the coming years, I'm thinking about many of those same questions again. What options are available? What kind of setting would be right for them? And how do you make a good decision before you're forced to make a quick one?
The more I learned, the more interested I became in helping families navigate those questions. I've always been a problem-solver. I genuinely enjoy researching possibilities, sorting through complicated information, and finding practical solutions for people. Senior living guidance brings those strengths together in a way that feels especially meaningful to me.
Experience & Community
Professional training, with a personal approach.
As a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, I've completed professional training focused on the many issues that affect older adults and their families, including health, finances, housing, care, and quality of life. I bring that perspective to each family I work with, along with a practical approach to researching options, asking questions, and making complicated decisions feel more manageable.
Colorado Springs has been my home for more than 15 years, and being connected to the community is important to me. I volunteer with Silver Key Senior Services, where I'm involved in planning social events and activities for older adults and also help with Meals on Wheels deliveries when needed. These experiences give me the opportunity to spend time with older adults in my community and stay connected to the people Aging Springs is here to serve.
