Aging Springs

How It Works

A clear path through a complicated decision.

Every family's situation is different, but the process doesn't have to feel overwhelming. I help you understand what's needed, narrow the possibilities, and move forward one step at a time.

What to Expect

It starts with understanding your situation.

You don't need to know which type of senior living is right before we talk. We'll start with what's happening now - what's working, what's becoming difficult, and what matters most to your loved one and your family.

From there, I can help you make sense of the options and focus your time on the communities that are most likely to be a good fit.

The Process

01

Start with a conversation

We'll talk about what's prompting the search, your loved one's current needs, what may be changing, and any concerns your family has. We'll also discuss preferences, location, finances, timing, and the kind of environment that might feel right.

The goal of this first conversation is simple: understand the situation before trying to solve it.

02

Narrow the possibilities

Once I understand what you're looking for, I can research and identify communities that fit your loved one's needs and your family's priorities. Instead of sorting through a long list on your own, we'll focus on the options that are most relevant to your situation.

This is where a complicated search starts to become more manageable.

03

Tour and compare

When you're ready to visit communities, I'll help you prepare for tours, know what questions to ask, and understand what to look for beyond the first impression. Depending on your situation, I can also accompany you on community tours.

We'll consider things like care, staffing, environment, activities, dining, location, costs, and how well each community fits your loved one's needs and preferences.

The goal isn't simply to find a community. It's to understand why one option may be a better fit than another.

04

Make an informed decision

After you've explored the strongest options, I'll help you think through the differences, get answers to any remaining questions, and consider the practical details that may affect your decision.

My role is to give you the information and perspective you need to make the decision that feels right for your family.

You're Still in Control

The decision is always yours.

My role is to help you understand the options, ask better questions, and make meaningful comparisons. I won't pressure you toward a particular community or make the decision for you.

The goal is to help your family make a thoughtful, informed decision that feels right for your situation.

How Aging Springs Is Paid

Clear guidance. No surprises about cost.

For many assisted living and memory care placements, Aging Springs is compensated by the senior living community, so there is no placement fee to the family.

Some communities do not pay referral fees, including many Life Plan Communities (CCRCs). If you would like my help evaluating or navigating one of these communities, a private consulting fee may apply. I'll always discuss any fee with you before we move forward.
